Coach Introduction

I had the good fortune to play for the Rideau St. Lawrence Kings when I was young.  It was an experience that I look back on fondly.  My hope now is to be a part of that great experience with the current players, and to offer new opportunities and development that will better them for their futures on and off the ice. 
Other playing experience for me includes playing Jr. B for the Athens Aeros, and NCAA Division III for Potsdam State University. Immediately after graduating I entered the coaching world.  I am entering my 22^nd year as a Lead Instructor at Mustang Hockey School, and I have now coached from Initiation up to Jr. B (Carleton Place and Athens).  In the past few seasons, I have had the pleasure of being an Assistant/Goalie Coach with the 2012 Kings, and I now look forward to this new challenge.
My expectations are to have a team that will compete at their highest level, and to be accountable to themselves and their teammates.  At the same time, hockey is a great game that is based on achieving your best results through hard work, with an emphasis on keeping it fun. The hope is to maintain an environment where learning the game while having fun will create success and the desire to continue to develop skills and the player’s love of the game.
