Do It For Doef!

2014-12-19

There is no glossing over the challenge Neil Doef might face in the months, and years ahead or is there any way to really sum up how sad it is for the family of the promising Smiths Falls Bears star.

Following a collision with a Swiss defenceman in the first period of Sunday afternoon’s game at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge, Canada East forward Neil Doef was transported by ambulance to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Sask.Neil underwent surgery on Sunday night, and is resting comfortably with his parents, who arrived Monday morning from Ontario, at his side. He will continue to undergo tests, and is receiving tremendous care from the staff in Saskatoon, by his parents and other family members. "

After years of serving the community as a role model for Smiths Falls youth, Smiths Falls Bears’ forward, Neil Doef, is now the one in need of assistance. The Doef family has given so much to our community now it's time to give back! Help us to help the Doef Family, Please donate

Donations may also be made to "DOEFSTRONG" at any Bank of Nova Scotia branch across Canada

Do It For Doef donation page set up at FundRazr has already collected nearly $7,000 in donations since being created.

Our thoughts and our prayers are with the Doef family at this most trying time.

#Doefstrong
